  12. Attend a support group. Knowing that others struggle with the same problems may relieve stress.
  13. Talk with a nutritionist. He or she can help you set up an appropriate meal plan.
  14. Write in a journal. This may help especially when you have the urge to binge eat.
  15. Do not diet. Fad diets rarely help for long periods of time and very strict diet plans may only make your disorder worse.
  16. Love yourself for who you are, not what you look like.

    Teneal I know how you feel, I’ve told my husband but I don’t know if he’s taking it as a joke or what because I feel he doesn’t really listened I get depressed and binge ( then I barely eat for about 3 days and start the cycle over again). I’m tired of it, I just want to be “normal” again.

    I don’t even stop or regulate after a binge, I just keep going. I’ve gained so much weight to my stomach and it sucks, from binge eating every day on a consistent basis! I’ve tried gum instead, I just don’t know how you stop it though.

    Hey, Aimiee. I know how you feel, because I have these episodes since, I was in high school. For a few months I struggle but do my best and actually keep it under control, but then somehow there is an unknown trigger that makes me go back, and that is usually when I am living at my parents house where food is unlimited. I do not crave food or even taste it I just eat. It gets to the point where my stomach hurts so much. I also do not have the money for treatment, but I am hoping that one day at a time, my entire goal is to not binge. I just hope this cycle I am in stops because during those few months where I keep in under control, I am HAPPY.

    I feel the same way!! No one takes it seriously, they just imply that you have no self control blah blah but thats not the case!! Every time I binge I hate myself so the cycle continues!! The hardest part is food is every where you can not avoid it!

    I am a high school student also struggling with mild depression.
