Nicole Karst, MA LVNPrimary Care Coordinator
Nicole has been providing health and mental health care for over 15 years. She spent the first five years of her career as a hospital corpsman in the United States Navy. Following her honorable discharge she became licensed as a vocational nurse in California. Her nursing experience focused on providing mental health care for eating disorders, severe mental illness and substance use disorders. Inspired by these experiences she began working toward her doctorate in clinical forensic psychology. Since beginning her graduate studies, she has gained experience working at San Diego Youth Services, Alvarado Parkway Institute, Poway Unified School District and Sharper Future San Diego. She specializes in long term psychotherapy with adults, adolescents, couples, and families. Her approach to eating disorder treatment is one that empowers individuals to find balance, purpose and fulfillment in their lives.
