Drug Rehab Facility More Likely for Nevadans

A recent study suggests that a Drug Rehab Facility is more likely for Nevadans than most other areas of the country.

The study shows that Nevadans are more likely to die of substance abuse and have a higher rate of suicide then the national average. The rate of deadly accidental poisoning and exposure to noxious substances is almost twice the national rate. This also includes drug overdoses.

Clark County in Nevada has the third highest rate of fatal drug overdose in the nation. In the state of Nevada, the death from alcoholic liver disease is 1.7 times the national rate. The suicide is also twice the national figure.

Scientists debate whether the environment of Las Vegas causes certain types of behavior that can lead to substance abuse, or whether people who already posses such behavior are attracted to Nevada.
