Outpatient treatment programs for drug and alcohol addiction or mental health disorders at Casa Palmera are designed for those individuals who need less structure than an inpatient or residential setting. Casa Palmera, located in San Diego, provides comprehensive outpatient treatment through two programs: partial hospital program (PHP), or day treatment program, which meets five days a week, and our intensive outpatient program (IOP) which meets in the evenings three days a week. We also offer a weekly continuing care group which meets on Tuesday evenings offered at no additional charge for our alumni.
In addition, patients also have the option of stepping down to a lower level of care after a period of stabilization at a higher level of care depending on medical necessity.
Partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programming is beneficial for those individuals who are assessed as being able to participate successfully in regularly scheduled sessions during the day and/or evenings and are not considered at risk medically or psychiatrically.
PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION PROGRAM
Casa Palmera’s partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers a high level of structured care, similar to residential treatment, however, patients can live at home, in sober living, or in some cases board at our facility. PHP is designed for those who still need a high level of support and structure throughout the day but are considered stable enough to sleep at home or in a supportive living environment on evenings and weekends. PHP operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. All groups are led by licensed professionals.
INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM
Casa Palmera’s intensive outpatient program (IOP) enables our patients to continue their daytime responsibilities, employment, etc. The goal of IOP is to provide treatment and support to help individuals develop the skills and abilities to lead successful and productive lives, which empowers them to function more independently and responsibly.
Casa Palmera’s weekly continuing care group was designed to offer ongoing support to those individuals who have successfully completed treatment at a higher level of care at our facility as well as other programs. Continuing care is offered to our alumni at no additional change for one year. Continuing care operates Tuesdays from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. All groups are lead by licensed professionals.
