Dr. Shilpi Sheth
Clinical DirectorDr. Sheth is a mental health therapist with over 12 years of experience in providing psychotherapy, counseling and consultation services to individuals, couples and families in a variety of settings. He is passionate about helping people and believes in creating a safe, nonjudgmental and supportive environment for his patients to be seen, heard and valued.
Dr. Sheth holds a Psy.D. in clinical forensics psychology from the California School of Forensic Studies at Alliant International University. Prior to his clinical work, he obtained a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Psychology degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has worked in numerous medical institutions, addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including stress, anxiety, addiction, depression, trauma, LGBTQIA+ matters, relationship and family problems, and much more.
Drawing from a diverse array of educational, career and life experiences, Dr. Sheth uses a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), and attachment and family-based approaches to address mental health concerns holistically. He works closely with his patients to create personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs. His goal is to help them achieve their desired level of functioning, whether that is navigating difficult life transitions, managing emotions, or improving relationships to lead more meaningful and fulfilling lives. In addition, Dr. Sheth has been successful in setting up clinical programs that provide comprehensive care to certain segments of the population, such as adolescents, veterans and individuals with trauma histories. Through these established programs, he has utilized his longstanding expertise to create tracks, including temporary tracks, to provide specialized care, resulting in improved outcomes and bringing holistic healing to his patients.
Dr. Sheth is a big part of the Indian community in San Diego, serving on the committee at the local Hindu temple and participating in cultural celebrations.
